- I am a computer and science nerd who is athletic and likes sports. I am also a Christian, which to me means I believe in Jesus as the Jewish Messiah who came to rescue mankind. I believe in the Bible. I find, however, serious problems with a lot of what is called Christianity and many people who claim to believe the Bible are just pure whack jobs. I take the famous John 3:16 seriously -- God really does love us -- and do not appreciate people who cram it down the throats of others and thus violate directly what it is saying.

You don't know me.This blogging world can be strange that way, but it is very encouraging knowing that there are thousands of christians everywhere!
My family is preparing to go long term to Brazil this summer. We have been walking in this direction for about six years now! In Brazil we will be working with a local church plant,doing outreach, pastoring, bible studies, music ministries, and youth ministries. It is exciting to know that we will be there soon.
The reason I am writing is to ask for financial support. Crazy I know. However our personal contacts are limited due to the fact that Michael's parents are missionaries, already being supported by family and friends, and that we go to a Missions minded church that is at it's peak!
We have always known that we may have to "fish" in a different pond so to speak and the time has come!

I appreciate you being creative and taking initiative. I also support missions and Christian outreach. However, what you are doing is spam. It is very frowned upon in the blogging community. There are legitimate ways to reach people on on the internet, spamming in blog comments is not one of them. Please don't do that any more.
